Sal was rescued by a US soldier in Kuwait. He is currently looking for a home with a fenced yard and people who want a dog-dog-dogging-kinda-dog! He is all desert dog which means he’s slightly independent, pack-oriented, skittish of some things we consider normal, but loves to bond with his own pack and make himself a forever home. He has the absolute best smile! He prances like a little fox. He’s wonderful.
He’s 3 years old, neutered and current on vaccines. No small children. He likes some dogs.
FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED! Sheba is officially healthy, spayed, and ready to be your best friend! AND... she is vision impaired. We had our suspicions but since she has adapted so well, we had to get a veterinarian to confirm this. Sheba sees light and darkness, and the forms or shapes of large objects, but in human terms, she is legally blind. She uses her nose and ears so well that it took us a long time to realize she didn’t use her eyes at all. Blind dogs are super easy to live with, as vision is a tertiary sense for most non-sighthound dogs. Sheba can easily adjust within a day or two to any new home - simply show her around for the first day and then she’ll be leading the way by the next day! Sheba is good with dogs as long as they don’t zip around her super fast. That makes her a little anxious. She’s been out in play groups with big and small dogs of all breeds and play styles, and she does very well. She much prefers to hang out with people instead of dogs, though, and is constantly “checking in” by circling back and bumping me with her nose. Sheba is quite regal and prefers Milk Bone brand cookies, and real meat bones - the raw ones with a little meat attached. She had a lick of ice cream today and loved that, too! Sheba wants to experience all the wonders of having a family to reside over. Message us today to ADOPT Sheba! There is an adoption fee and a home visit will be done. Setula needs a committed FOSTER or ADOPTER! She is the daughter of one of our rescued Salukis from Kuwait, and the sister of handsome Sebastian. Setula has very Saluki-esque features, and mostly resembles her beautiful and sleek mother. Setula is under 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is a dreamy girl with a wonderful heart who loves humans and dog-friends. Please message us if you’d like to give Setula a home! She is in Kuwait but can earn her Freedom Flight to the USA for a committed foster or adopter!
Lobo has his tuxedo on and he’s ready to meet his Mr or Miss Right! He loves smooth jazz but he’s not a fan of progressive jazz. He digs old R&B, anything by Sam Cook, and The Puppy Song. He likes to watch boxing and dog sports, and he thinks football is silly - because why toss away a perfectly good ball when you could just bite it?! He would love to share a plate of cheese and crackers with a special someone. Lobo just wants a real friend to hang onto his tug rope, skritch his ears, pinch his loose cheeks, and help him bark at deer. His biggest fears are mice and spiders, so he would prefer to sleep in bed with his human so he doesn’t have to be on the floor with those little critters. He’s a slow romance and won’t kiss on the first date, but once he knows you’re the one, he is very protective and loving. He likes to sit on your lap and wants to be the little spoon. Really, he doesn’t have a preference for a male or female friend, but he does prefer to be an only friend. He likes other dogs but wants to be the only dog in the house. Message us today if you’re interested in adopting Lobo. He’s under 3 years old, neutered, vaccinated, very healthy. Located south of Charlottesville in VA.
Jasper was rescued from a Kuwait roadside puppy mill! Horrible conditions! Jasper is a quiet and calm lab retriever who is wondering if he’ll ever find a warm and secure home. He wants to relax and be your lap dog! Jasper is about 1.5- 2 y/o. He is ready to find his home in the US! His adoption fee is $650. He will come microchipped and vaccinated. Partial neuter reimbursement included in adoption fee. Home visit and reference checks apply for fostering/adoption.
Bobby was dumped on our Kuwait rescuer's doorstep at 11pm by strangers who claim that he was 12 y/o. He has a health problem which has been causing him seizures. Due to his behavior while having these episodes, he needs to be an only pet and in a house without children. He got his freedom flight out of Kuwait in late February and arrived on US soil on March 1. He’s about knee-high (30 lbs). Bobby LOVES car rides and enjoys exploring out in nature -- so if you have a garden or like to go for nature walks, Bobby would make a great companion dog for those activities. He REALLY loves to swim - it's his all-time favorite activity. Bobby is potty trained, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $350 and helps pay for his transportation costs and vet expenses. A home visit and reference check are required. He is currently being fostered in the Charlottesville, VA area.
